Before purchasing a home it is very important to clear up any past credit issues and get your scores as high as possible.
You will have a lower interest rate and your whole loan experience will be judged less harshly by the loan underwriter if your credit scores are up as high as possible.
Every borrower has different credit issues and speaking to a credit counselor or a mortgage professional who will give you a free consultation and advice is the best thing to do.
Here is a list of Department of Real Estate, "Approved", professionals who can help you out!
Feel free to call if you'd like to discuss this.
