Hi Ann - British citizens can absolutely purchase here in Florida. My husband is from near London, and still a citizen. Right now is a pretty terrific time to make this investment, too. The pound to the dollar is 1.549 - so you would get much more house for your money! Considering that, on top of the abundant inventory we currently have available, you should be able to find a great bargain! We have a considerable British contingent here in Spring Hill, due to our convenient proximity to both Tampa/Clearwater, and Orlando. You'd feel right at home - but with lots more sunshine!

Hi Ann,

Absolutely......we have many British home owners that are both full and part time residents of Florida. The process is basically the same for worldwide buyers as it is for US citizens.

As you have probably heard, it is an excellent time to be considering purchasing property here because of the large number of opportunities for considerable savings.

We would be happy to entertain any additional questions you may have about the buying process or about specific opportunities.

Good luck with your search.

Best regards,
Susan & Bill Eckler, GRI

You should be able to, Ann. I know you may in Georgia, where I am an agent. Good luck and please let me know if you would prefer the north Georgia mountains or Atlantic beaches of southeast Georgia.
