Hello Joey,

Sequoyah Heights in Oakland is a wonderful long established neighborhood. As a Realtor, I am not allowed to discuss crime stats., but I will direct you to this site:

Also, the neighborhoods are very tight knit with active community associations, one of which is a 'neighborhood crime watch'.

Another great thing about this area is that it gives the feel of being away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet is only minutes away from everything.
