One of my favorite web sites, melissadata.com allows you to look up home sales by zip code, from the homepage near the top click "lookups" there are then links for recent home sales, crime rates etc. it only gives avg. sale price and # of homes sold, but will give you a starting place. Age, condition, and many other factors have to be considered, consult a Realtor to get an idea of avg. days on the market and so on, have a list of questions ready, like "what features are most important to area buyers?" good luck!!
