I am a real estate agent in Barstow. I currently sell new homes at Shadow Ridge. But I have resold homes here and the general rule, that relates as much to time of year as anything else, has been 3 to 6 months. We have seen homes that are well priced and in good condition sold in as little as a week-but often it takes more time to get the word out and increase the showing activity. There is a premium for newer homes since so many homes are pre or post war (that would be wwII the big one!!) Several new home communities in town are seeing increased sales-spring is here-yay--and we have had great sales too. The best time to start a sale is now and it really is a great time to buy!!

I thought Trulia would have data but not for Barstow. Your best bet would be to contact a local Realtor in that area and ask them to provide that answer, or any agent with access to that MLS database could find out. If you are selling your home and have a San Jose real estate agent... ask them to find out for you. Its quite easy actually.
