Dave, Yes. You can use a co-signer and still have an opportunity to take advantage of the $8,000. There are even programs that may allow the stimulus money to be used as a down payment or closing costs for you. Have you had a chance to speak with a local lender yet about your specific choices?

Dave,

You should be eligible for the tax credit. I know of one program that you could use a co-signer. How soon are you looking to buy a home? This option will not be available for long.
