Hi Gerald,
The first thing that any home buyer should do is contact a Realtor who specializes in your local market. This is especially imperative for any first time home buyers. You will be pleasantly surprised how much easier your outlook on buying a home will be. A Realtor will be able to create a buyer plan that meets your particular needs along with setting you up with a reputable lender to find out what loan programs are available in the Yuma AZ market. Good Luck!

Gerald, There are most definately programs available here in Yuma to help you in purchasing your first home. Also, there are new subdisions offering incentives to assit with down payments, closing costs, etc.

Hi Gerald,

There are definitely down payment assitance programs available to help buyers purchase a primary residence. I would recommend that you connect with a good, knowledgable REALTOR in Yuma who has contacts with local lenders to help you with this process. You could also visit http://www.housingaz.com/ShowPage.aspx?ID=150. This is the website for the Arizona Department of Housing.

I trust the information I gave you will help you to make good real estate decisions.
