I think you should do your research. Del Webb and DiVosta are owned by Pulte. If you check out this particular page and then google some more.

Again a realtor just wants to sell you a house. They forget though that if there are issues with the house that are not divulged by a builder AND the builder does not have to tell you about ANY defects on a new house (or in fact any house they have NOT resided in), the realtor can and should be held liable.

Be smart about ANY house you may purchase with ANY builder . Do your homework and don't believe everything a realtor tells you.

Loretta,
If it were me I would stick with DiVosta and Pulte. All you have to do is read the Naples Daily News today and I think you will agree with me. If I can help you in anyway, give me or my wife a call at (239) 860-0576

Loretta,
My husband and I have been in our DiVosta home in Island Walk in Naples for 6 years. I am a Realtor and with as many homes that I show in this price bracket it's hard to find better quality or a better well thought out floor plan. The ONLY problem we've had is a situation with the flashing at the roof line under the tile. That was taken care of by Divosta (Pulte bought them some years ago) and we've had no problems since. Feel free to call if you have any other questions. Lynn Bower , Realtor, ABR, GRI 239-438-6784 (cell)

You might want to visit these sites:

Homeowners for Better Building http://www.HOBB.org

Homeowners Against Deficient Dwellings http://www.HADD.Com

http://camplemonadestand.com

http://www.justanotherlemon.com/CCFL/pulte.htm and this page in particular:

Conduct a google search to find out the number of class action suits being filed across the nation

Remember if you use a realtor and there is an issue that has not been exposed and or outlined before the sale, you can always sue them if not the builder (this builder has an arbitration clause - which BTW is again RESPA section 6 and 9 and is considered predatory lending)

Conduct your own research. do not depend upon realtors to tell you. They want to make the sale and get on to the next house - you want to purchase a home. Be smart

Loretta,

I particularly like the construction techniques used by DiVosta and my clients have been pleased with their homes and their customer service after the purchase.

Loretta,

My partner set the all time record for homes sales with Pulte in 2004 (176 homes sold in 1 year) and has a vast knowledge of the builder and other builders in the area. Please contact me with any questions you might have and I will get him on the phone with you. I have sold several homes/condos built by both Pulte and Engle and they do a good job and excellent follow up after the home is sold.

Thanks,

Loretta,

If you look long and hard enough, you can dig up "dirty laundry" on most anyone. But the fact remains, these companies are long time established entities that have pleased scores of people over the years. They have earned their stripes........

Here in Sarasota, I've not heard of any major problems. Pulte / Divosta seem to get the job done well. Sorry you are having a problem. Their are a few other builders and home owners having problems.

Hello Loretta

Pulte is one of the biggest residential homebuilders in our area and have several successful projects going back over 15 years.

While a builders good reputation may not always help an individual problem, there should be some peace of mind that the have been stable for a very long time.

Several builders have knocked down inventory prices and we’re heading into a typically slow time of the year, so see my area market graphs at http://www.napleshomepage.com/statistics.htm to time making a purchase.

Pulte Homes, Inc. contact number is 1-866-PULTE-25

Just call for more help

Only good experiences for my customers. An out-of-town customer, who recently visited Naples, fell in love with the types of homes available in Verona Walk -- a DiVosta community. Should you wish an e-PRO Realtor to take you to the various new-home communities of various builders (not just the ones you mentioned), I'd be glad to do that with you. And if you need some information emailed to you, let me know. I can be reached at WOWnaples@comcast.net or 239-249-0699.
