You should find an agent in the area that handles short sales and will be able to clue you in when one is coming up on the market. Many of the foreclosures have rules that the first 10 days can only entertain offers by owner occupiers. Also if you have a buyers agent, they will perhaps send out mailers to owners in that area. Sometimes other investors need to do trades when they deplete their scheduled depreciations, so I encourage you to get an agent. I'm sure there's a lot right here!
