3 family w/garage - Wburg, Gpoint, Ridgewood, Astoria, LIC

Asked by Irene121, 11211 Mon Jul 27, 2009

Hi, I'm going to be looking for a realtor to find me a 3 family (w/garage) for about 880k-890k max. There is a time crunch involved so I'm expanding my search to Wburg, Gpoint, Ridgewood, Astoria and LIC. I do have location parameters for each each area. Would I be able to use one realtor to search in all of these areas? Thanks.

You can use as many Realtors as you like provided that you don't sign an exclusive buyer broker agreement. However, if you are comfortable with one person why not use just the one.

Hi Irene:

The choice is yours whether to use a realtor or as many as you wish. There are no rules that limit you. Whatever your decision, you must be careful. Do you believe in COMMITMENT? Would you sign up as a Buyer's Agent? There are some agents who are exclusively obligated to buyers and devote their time to satisfying their client's needs. They will do whatever is necessary (network) to find the appropriate property.
If you find the right one and you're dedicated, I believe he/she will do like wise.

However, do you research before hiring a realtor and interview at least 3.

Thanks.

Pierre
