That property is a lease as previously stated. It has a long history with expired and cancelled listing information. Often sellers of high-end properties will attempt to find a renter while the house is also listed for sale. Usually these properties have a long sales times and owners who are not living in the house like the idea of receiving rent.
Your question points to the fact that you don't get the full story from listing information on the internet. When you need the rest of the story, contact a Realtor who can research the property, and give you important information that will help you know the true value.

Hi Dan,

When you click down in the Trulia listing info, there is a section that says "Property Type". This will say "For Sale" or "For Lease" which will explain a lot of what appears to be irregular pricing.

Dan, thats the problem with some of the data on the internet it is sometimes unclear and misleading. It is advisable to develop a reletionship with a realtor that has the experiance and ability do do the ground work for you, verify information, contact listing brokers, research public records, provide sales comps from MLS data, because newspapers and dataquick do not tell the whole story.

18010 Punta Del Norte is an active lease for $25,000/ a month, it's not the sale price. It was listed prior for $7,600,00.

The property at 18010 Punta Del Norte is currently listed as an Active lease opportyunity at $25,000/month. The property was recently listed for sale at $7,600,000.

Perhaps you saw the home on the web and it wasn't explained that the $25,000 is the monthly lease amount.
