Folks, Can you recommend a good, certified home inspector? I need one asap to do an inspection for a home in Dublin either this Friday or Saturday.
Also any thoughts on what inspections should be performed? I know of three : Home, Wood/pest and Roof . But I have also heard of Radon, mold, geologic tests - do you recommend those also? The home is 2004 construction.
Thanks.
Thanks everyone for your responses. I really appreciate your advise.
I recommend Greg McLain of WIN Inspection in Los Gatos http://(www.wini.com). I''ve used him several times, and he is very reliable.
For sellers, i recommend getting a property inspection, termite inspection and a roof inspection. I wouldn't recommend the radon, mold or geologic test, especially on a relatively new property unless there is cause for suspecting issues in those areas. If a buyer is concerned, they will order their own inspections.
HI S;
I can recommend Rik Goodell. He is from my Rotary Club and you can check out his credential -
http://www.goodell.org/ You only have a couple days though.
We don't usually do the others you mentioned unless there is reason to suspect they might exist. But if you are worried about it, then you might want to have it checked. The home / termite inspecitors will normally suggest additional inspection if they see signs of problems.

Buyers agents norm is supply 3 inspectors for your to contact. Ask your realtor, they dont have a list most brokers offices have 100's of names on file who are State certified. http://www.lynn911.com http://www.homes-for-sale-dallas.com
