I have worked with PNC. Did you get a signed offer from the seller? If you did, PNC takes about 2 months.

Good luck,

PNC was formerly known as National City Mortgage.. they have national numbers for referencing their mortgages, however they will not discuss anything with you unless they have a written agreement and release on file from the owner of the property that it is ok to speak to you, (assuming this is a short sale) so calling their number, will get you no where...

The only way to get information is through the listing agent and/or brokerage. Even then, what you are told may not be viable tomorrow. You need to find out how the listing agent works: Does he/she keep sending in offers continuously until the bank accepts one, or does he/she send in the highest/best offer of the ones he got by a certain date and then the bank goes on that? This is something for your agent to find out from the listing agent.

Making offers on short sales is risky... this is one of the reasons... don't put your eggs totally in this basket.. keep looking... and good luck! Ellen Hayes

Tell the agent that you made the offer through to contact the selling agent with the same question.
Responses can still take a couple weeks. Its best to keep on looking and keep your options open.
