taxes are higher in the city of Fernandina beach and nothing is gained by living in the city. I live close to the YMCA which is great. This is a wonderful place to live

Now is a great time to buy. On Amelia Island prices are coming down a little, for the first time in a while, you can get a nice starter home for under $200,000. Amelia Island is a unique place that the property is worth every penny you pay for it. You can get more for your dollar in Yulee, as many builders are cutting prices of new homes so they may reduce inventory. Amelia Lakes are apartments that were converted to Condos. They have a fitness room and a pool for owners.

Off Island your best bet is Amelia Lakes. If you are interested in on island the Palms is a very affordable condominium complex about a mile from the beach. Units sell for under $200K.
