With everchanging trends, do you find buyers are leaning more towards resale homes or new homes?

In my experience and my readings, buyers aren't just leaning they've been moving towards the new homes. New homes offer the "new" aspect without any of the repair work and any needed updates as they are provided by the builder with the added benefit of a highly competitive price against resales. The buyers can't and aren't ignoring a good deal that builders are offering. I'm still waiting to see a good % growth in resales before I say that buyers have a stronger interest in them.

I have only seen New Homes Sales make a comeback in the last 6-12 months. Regular re-sales seem to be getting stronger as the REO and Short Sale inventories get absorbed into the market.
