With all the foreclosed houses in Elk River, how come they bank is not renting their properties. I see on TV other States and cities are doing it.

Hi, we all think a lot about foreclosures but at the end lenders/servicers/collections make their own decisions. If lenders decided to rent those properties, would it be easier to modify the loan and let the owners stay?
Anyway, I have not seen it in Minnesota.
Can't you find place to rent in Elk River?

Simple. Banks aren't in the real estate business. They're in the money lending business. They don't want to own homes. They don't like owning homes.

Maybe some banks are renting them, though I haven't heard of that. Banks are interested in selling the homes and getting them off the books.
