Home Buying in Scottsbluff>Question Details

Chief, Home Buyer in Scottsbluff, NE

With all due respect, why on earth is the real estate priced so high in Scottsbluff?

Asked by Chief, Scottsbluff, NE Tue Apr 26, 2011

Most of these properties are far from new and need many updates and they are asking $130-$190,000 for these! Most places they would be lucky to get $80-$140,000 respectively. This is unbelievable!!!

Tim is correct - it is all about supply and demand! Interest rates are great, inventory is low!

Real estate is a slave to the laws of supply and demand. If there is no demand, the prices fall. If demand is high and supply low, prices rise. If your prices are high it must be because someone feels they are worth it, the banks feel they are worth it and appraisals show they are worth it. Simple supply and demand at work. Over time the demands might change and prices might go up or down.
