Hello, I have actually been searching in the $300,000 price range for two of my clients. I have found that you can buy a one bedroom co-op for this amount in Fort Greene, Prospect Heights, Midwood and Ditmas Park, to name a few of the better areas.

If you have any other questions feel free to email me or call me.

settle on an area yet? no one can honestly say which neighborhood has best projections as so many are in the process of rebuilding... look at Boerum Hill or Park Slope, or Even Midwood, Kensington & Ditmas Park - some have great values currently so that can also establish an upside in a neighborhood. buy where you are comfortable - be wary of what the future may hold. if you want to be a risk taker go for sunset park or red hook areas... then you can probably say "sure the upside has potential" but honestly - you never know which has the greatest potential.

Are you using this for an investment property or an apartment to live in? Would you be interested in a co-op or a condo? There are many neighborhoods that offer a variety of properties your price range.
