I would have to disagree with the previous answers. I am a realtor in the Waco/Hewitt area and also own a home in Hewitt. The house prices here only droped overall by about 2% and are on the rise again. Hewitt is one of the top places to live in Texas and our housing market was never OVER appreciated. Houses are selling and prices are strong. It is a great time to buy with interest rates so low and inventory is good. I would not live anywhere else. Hope this helps you.
