Will a standard home inspection determine if Chinese Drywall is present?

I am looking at new construction, but the home was built in 2005-2007 (a couple of builders involved before the bank foreclosed, been sitting last two years.)

No, but if you specifically ask the inspector if he will do this as part of his inspection, you may find one to accept that challenge. Be sure to get the sellers' permission and be prepared to pay for damages and repair of the structure. Most of the drywall you're worried about was used in FL, AL, & LA - down south. FEMA used a fair amount in the emergency housing they provided to the victims of Katrina - but that's a separate can of worms.
