If you find a For Sale by Owner property that interests you, simply write the contact phone number down and the house number and street. Do not contact the owner yourself. Rather, relay that information to you Realtor and let them handle the arrangements. Be prepared to build the commission into the list price of the home. Sometimes a compromise is necessary between buyer and owner. That said, most owners are willing to pay the commission in order to sell their home. Bottom line, your Realtor agent's top priority is assisting you in the purchase of your home.

i would imagine if they want to sell. i have never had a problem working with a FSBO and they pay the commission. You deserve to have representation. The biggest problem with FSBO is the buyers agent usually ends of doing some of the sellers work.. i don't make that mistake anymore...... good luck
Ruby,
I will answer a part that the two other answer did not cover. You can add the commission to the price the FSBO is asking and that way you pay the commission and not the homeowner, providing they are unwilling to pay the Realtor a commission.
Some FSBO's will welcome agents that bring potential buyers to see their home but this varies greatly from one owner to another. Typically, in these situations, the agent will get in touch with the home owner prior to showing the home and make arrangements for fees for professional services. Generally the seller will assume this responsibility.
Good luck
Some of them will and some of them won't. The best way is to let your agent contact the For Sale by Owner and negotiate that with them.
