Why so many people looking to buy homes at Piscataway? What are the good things about Piscataway?

It is amazing! If you look at NJ Government statistics, close to 500 families bought and move to Piscataway in 2007. What are the good things about Piscataway? Why so many families are buying homes at Piscataway?

Is Trulia going to have East Coast Office set up at Piscataway NJ ? One reason is that Greater Piscataway has thousands of experienced IT professionals, very easy to recruit top IT talents in a cost effective way.

Besides, Greater Piscataway has top real estate experts in the nation as you can see Great Piscataway Area has the most effective buyer-seller match rate in the nation. While national average of matching a seller with a buyer take 10.8 months, Greater Piscataway only takes a few weeks.

There is a very nice house listed with Trulia at Piscataway http://www.trulia.com/property/1062821393-205-Brewster-Ave-P… and the next door of this house Bryant who got full score on SAT this year and got full scholarship of Rutgers Univ Pharmacy; he went K to 12 at all Piscataway schools.

Not far from this house, one student got admitted to UC Berkeley also went K to 12 at all Piscataway schools, got close to full score on SAT also won #1 on FBLA Business Plan Competition over hundreds of all high schools in NJ and represent NJ to compete in Chicago last year and won over 40 states (each was #1 in their state), and step into final and got the national plaque back for Piscataway High School.

A little bit down is an Indian family whose son went to Cornell Univ major Computer Science, go futher is a black girl who going to Princeton Univ, whose brother going to Georgetown Univ, after Piscataway High School.

Go further down is Colin who also got full score on SAT and #1 in NJ Economic competition won over hundreds of all other high schools and got admitted to NYU and U Penn Business school, who also went to all Piscataway schools from K to 12. He with other dozen #1 winners of NJ FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) down competing National FBLA at Atlanta.

I think this house would be sold very soon as the whole community, Carriage Hill, has been sold out for a long while, this is the new one just came out. Besides, it is listed with Trulia, the most powerful real estate website with very creative Google street view attached ...

Also, there are many Asian families in town, and Asian families often like to live close by. e.g. I went to see a house at Chicago Av, the seller told me that they already got 3 offers and dozens of buyers came to see his nice house. Most buyers came from Jersey City and NYC, and many are friends or relatives of neighbors. One offer, he specificially mentioned is the couson of a lady who lives down Mountain Av area.

The population, according to zipskinny http://zipskinny.com/index.php?zip=08854 that 19.8% is black, 24.7 is Asian, and white 44.9% ... but you will see more Asian moving to town because, e.g. the above seller is a black family who told me that they are movign down to NC where their friends and relatives are, and the buyer is an Indian family.

Now, I guess you know why NC's real estate booming. may be because many families sold their homes at Piscataway and relocate down to NC to buy there!

Another one just bought at Mountain Av, who is Chinese professor of Rutgers Univ, renting at an Piscataway apartment, this does not contribute a racial change since the seller is an India family who got a job out of state, and the apartment taken by a young India IT professionals.

Still, many families from Pleasant View apartments buying houses at Piscataway recently, many are cocacian families, but then the apartments taken by young IT professionals. Some of the houses are new, so they were not exisit.

I was at 2nd St area and saw many old houses now changed and and renovated and made very beautiful, and I believe the boarder is streching into Plainfield, due to close to Dunellen Train Station.

So, I think Greater Piscataway area getting very popular due to the fact gas hike, and it is sournded by 7 NYC Train Stations as you can see http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=2545915931115000340…

I am considering Piscataway because I heard Piscataway High School won many #1 in NJ FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) competitions in 2007 and some teams even won national plaque back from Chicago Natl FBLA Conference.

Someone told me that Piscataway High School won again in 2008 NJ FBLA Competitions last week in Raritan Center Edison. Their FBLA teachers even won many awards as well.

The only thing I need to do is sell my 3br townhouse at Forest Gate Somerset, but I may be able to just rent out the townhouse to Rutgers Univ students or visiting scholar like before. The townhouse has been paid off anyway. But, then I would limit my budget to around $550k to $650k. I think if I can rent out $2,500 like my neighbor, I may be able to get a bigger home with only $1,000 more payment a month. If I can get ARM, I may end up using the rent to pay the new mortgage, which would be fantastic.
