Why buyers agents in LA are playing games and taking offers just to negotiate for the highest offer and then dump other offers ruthlessly ?

A seller's agent has a duty and a responsibility to do what is in the best interest of their client. They do not owe any buyer or buyer's agent anything beyond fair and ethical treatment. A good listing agent will price the home slightly under market value to increase the listing's visibility and generate a multiple offer situation. If you feel that your offers have been cast aside or disregarded, the reason is simple. Your offer has not been the best offer. If you are not receiving counter offers, then your offers are not even close to being the best offer.

It's frustrating when you don't get what you want, but the truth is that for every house a buyer looses, there was someone else who either wanted it more or had more money or better terms to offer.

Good luck on the next one.

Dear Pathmasiri,
Buyer Agents are working with buyers. they are not playing games or dumping any offers. They are not in the position to make final decisions on offer acceptance.
My advice is to get a good Realtor to work for you if you are trying to purchase property.
