Doug, you say you Heard? If applied right, stucco is a great look and insalation, appearance can be nice, and its cheaper to build with,vs brick or real stone,I worked for a excellent stucco co in 70's during school,so I learned alot. But like anything if not applied right,or inferior products, will pop off,etc...there is stucco stone and stucco brick, did you know, most people wouldnt know the difference. And this comes down to who does the work. The thing Id be concerned about would be be interior structure ,joist, look up at floor in basement, woodwork, these types of things,so I dont se your point,I have stucco on parts of my home in a
Arlington,no problems? stucco is in bout every subdivion, only horror I have heard,is early 80's someone said they could paint stucco in stead of restucco/and you couldnt because they didnt have paint then that you could use,it would pop off.Now they have paint for stucco and bout everything else.I like to see the stucco home in ? with you,and see what you feel is wrong.

In the Columbus area the builders have always used a different product beside brick or stone on the backs and sides of homes. Stucco is a less expensive product than the brick or stone and that is the reason they use it. The stucco we use here is different from the stucco you hear about in the southern states that has all kinds of problems.
Stucco is more expensive than siding and you will see it used in the more expensive areas like Dublin If you are looking for an agent to help you please visit my web site at HouseHouseHome.com
