Keep in mind the market is flooded with great deals right now, so a D.H. Horton home is just one of many, many choices...

Many issues come into play when a builder offers a home lower than you believe or compared other homes on market. Confer with your buyers agent provide you all stat's and etc. in order make a purchasing decision. You need to compare "apples to apples"

DR Horton can offer lower prices primarily due to their buying power. They have certain house plans to chose from, their materials do not vary, and they buy in serious bulk (they operate in MANY states in the US). There are not many custom amenities in DR Horton homes (and you have to pick from their design center for all finishes), but they are nice homes, and more affordable than other new construction with more custom finishes. Live Oak Trace is the only DR Horton development in Zachary. Live Oak Trace started as a custom home development and people were paying up to $140's per foot when they bought in. The developer sold out to DR Horton and DR Horton is finishing out the development.
