Which is the better investment: East Point or West View?

I'm looking for a single family home under 110K, at the absolute most. I prefer older renovated homes with character. I'm also a single young woman, so I want to feel safe. I'm looking in East Point and the West View neighborhood, but am torn between the 2. Which one is a better investment?
