We have been completely absent from Cincinnati since 1979 and are considering moving back to retire. Is Paddock Hills area still considered affluent?
As other agents have noted it is against the law for us to advise you on the subject without more detail from you. If I knew your price range and lifestyle I could work with that. I specialize in all of Cincinnatis older neighborhoods and really enjoy the older houses. By the way, I was showing houses in Paddock Hills this summer and up on that little hill it is sweet. I loved the English Tudors and French Normandy styles. I think almost every homeowner up there must be a master gardener because the gardens were fabulous. Since you indicated you will be retiring soon you might consider a neighborhood that hasa good walkability to it. The retirerees I have worked with in the past rate that feature very high. Cincinnati has a lot of areas with great things within walking distance.
Paddock Hills is nice...not affluent. If you are looking for a city neighboorhood, right next door in North Avondale is CLEARLY upper middle class in a number of areas. If you want to live in a vanilla suburb, then the Clermont area is for you...though it is NOT affluent out there.
No Paddock Hills and most areas around and in the Cincinnati area are not what they use too be..Look in diffrenet counties like Clermont ,,Brown etc it maybe a little drive from Cincinnati but its where most people have moved too and the school are very nice..I hope that i have helped
Paddock Hills is no longer an upper middle class friendly neighborhood. There are still some beautiful houses there; but, the neighborhood has changed greatly.
Rj,
Realtors are not able, by law, to answer your question as you have phrased it. We in no way can steer buyers to neighborhoods of our own choosing. One man's castle is another man's cave. I would suggest using the Trulia search tools and typing in the neighborhoods you remember as your preference. Look for recent sales and current list price and see if this matches up with your expectations. If it doesn't then use the search tool to look for a certain price range and see where that takes you.
You might also try activerain.com's localism site.

Boy, thats a tough question to answer. I guess my question would be, what do you consider affluent? Agents in Ohio are prohibited from answering some questions that could influence a buyer from purchasing in a neighborhood or might steer them into a certain neighborhood. The one thing we can do is provide statistics, such as average income, for neighborhoods in which our clients have an interest. Here is a good link that provides information on different neighborhoods in Cincinnati.

Paddock Hills is zip code 45229 and is in the North Avondale area.
Let me know if I can answer any additional questions.
