I like Aventura in North Scottsdale.

You can buy 2/2 in there for around $100,000

Great Location 96th Street and Shea Blvd

North Phoenix is where. Whay condos? The best bang for the buck is La Corona. It's warrantable which is hard to find. In fact, my guess is you'll find a condo you like, but it won't be warrantable. Just a couple months ago, I showed close to 60 condos of which all but two were warrantable. And according to FHA/CONV/VA guidelines, a condo/town house must be warrantable to obtain financing. That's something so basic every realtor should advise you of before you start looking at condos that you can't buy. To search for listings, visit evmls.

Dear Woody:

Hi, Scottsdale is a great place for golf. Courses, bike paths and great parks are everywhere.

Here are about 100 Condos, Townhomes and Patio Homes that I have found for you all priced less than $125K in Scottsdale. Click: http://www.flexmls.com/link.html?rfqff1yl500,12,1

This is a great time to buy. As you probably know, the $8,000 tax credit has been re-instated for first timers or those that have not owned in three years. There is now a $6,500 Tax credit for existing homeowners.

If I can answer any more questions or show you some homes or land, feel free to give me a call. I would be pleased to help you.

Regards, Jeff

Woody,
My advice to you is preview the listings Realtors have sent and drive by the listing you like. If you have the time, go to the different neighborhoods at different times of the day and night. If you see people out in the neighborhood (and its safe) ask them questions about the area, and if they like where they live. Most people will be honest and let you know what is going on. You have lots of choices, but I am sure you can narrow them down to a few you like and then do the research. When the time comes to putting in an offer you won't be disappointed!
Also make sure you look at the HOA Fee's, these can be very high and need to be factored in your budget. I've attached some more listings, just click on the link.
