The best (and easiest) is the MLS. I can help you with this if you would like. The MLS pulls data from all over the place and is very easy to use.

You usually can see the date, amount and history of the sales in the Property Appraisers web site for the county that you live in. You can search by address. Hope this helps.

The registry of deeds website your county. Or if you have specific questions you can ask your local realtor.

Try your county tax assessor. I don't know how it works in your area but our county tax records are now on line here in Morris County New Jersey and we can at least see the mortgage history if not the sale price.
