Hello Zach,

There are some condos on Beachwood that are close to the Hollywood Sign. There are also so condos that have views of the Hollywood Sign that are not on Beachwood. It all depends on what you prefer. I would take the view of the sign vs. just being close to it as you can't just drive to it.

Hi Zach,
You couldn't have picked a better time to think about buying a home.I would look in the hollywood hills east area.(Lake Hollywood)or Beachwood Canyon area. I'm seeing good deals in the Hollywood Hills East area.Homes are the most affordable then they have been in a long time. Although we are seeing a rise in the median price. I know the these areas please give me a call 323 804 2008 if you need pre-approval. I would be happy to show you the neighborhood and Lake Hollywood a beautiful location to take hikes, walk a dog etc. Please check out my website. In addition there are condo opportunities as well.
Happy Holidays

I'm with Monique. Proximity to the sign is not what it's's all about the view. Lake Hollywood is great, and if you want to be down in the flats, check out Hancock Park, Larchmont, and Windsor Square (Areas around Paramount and other studios). These are affordable, walkable areas with dead-on views (a little more distant) of the Hollywood Sign. Great schools and affordable rentals and condos, too.

Beachwood canyon is right there, if you want to be next to the Hollywood sign. I have had a few clients that lived right there next to the sign. Its a nice area, and some great people that live around there.
Good luck on your property searches. Let me know if you need any help on your property quest.

Hi Zach,

As was mentioned Beachwood Canyon is your best bet and this area is also known as the Hollywood Hills East. The closest streets to the Hollywood sign are probably Mulholland Highway and you can also get great views from Deronda Dr as well. I know this area extremely well, let me know if you have any questions.

Yes up Beachwood Canyon area is your best bet. I used to live over there, as have done several deals in that area, so know it quite well. The Beachwood Village strip on Franklin is very close and a fun place to hang out as well for restaurants, coffee, etc. It is a very desirable location all around.

Best of luck in the hunt Zach.

The you need to ID are you looking to purchase OR lease? Which will assist an agent for your search.

That will determine area(s) based on price of home sales OR monthly rental amount.

Anywhere up in Beachwood Canyon is pretty close to the sign (and many of the homes have amazing views!). But be careful when driving up Beachwood...the tourists stand in the middle of the street to take photos! :-) Also, to be even closer, look in the Lake Hollywood area, at the top of the Hollywood Hills East area...the sign is HUGE from up there. Also, the Lake Hollywood area has lots of gorgeous mid century homes, with larger lots...and you're also really close to some great hiking areas up in the hills.

There are other areas nearby where you can still have a view of the sign and be in the of Franklin Hills, Silver Lake and Los Feliz. And then, there is always good ole Hollywood!

Find yourself a great Buyer's Agent who really knows this area...this can really help with your search and the buying process.

Let me know if you're ready to start shopping. First we need to get you hooked up with a great lender, then determine your price point...then, let's get to work!
