Home Buying in El Segundo>Question Details

Stahl8, Home Buyer in El Segundo, CA

Where do most professionals that work in El Segundo live? In the same community/county?

Asked by Stahl8, El Segundo, CA Mon Aug 10, 2009

I have an opportunity to work for a large company in El Segundo and am wondering where most people with teenagers would live? What school districts are good?

Help the community by answering this question:

Many people who work in El Segundo, also live in El Segundo. However, El Segundo is part of the South Bay which includes a lot more cities. Our prices in the South Bay range from the mid $200,000's (generally the closer to the ocean the higher the price, so those at the lower end would be inland and condo's, townhouses etc.), to the $10,000,000 plus for large properties located on the Strand or in Palos Verdes. We have something for every pallet. Condo's, Town-homes, SFR, and more. If you live in the South Bay your commute to El Segundo would be minimal. El Segundo Schools are great, and so is Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, and Hermosa Beach. Hope this helps. I live in El Segundo and am a practicing Real Estate Broker. Hi Stahl,
Well, there are good schools in El Segundo and many people who work in El Segundo, also live there. it's a very nice community. You could consider Culver City too. We have excellent schools and lovely family neighboroods here.

Hi Stahl,

El Segundo is an increasingly affluent, independent beach city with it's own school district. You can Google their website. Also, follow the link below to the 'Beach Cities' page on my website which has a preset search for 'The 100 Least Expensive Homes from El Segundo to Redondo Beach.'

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about these properties,

Stahl8, good question. My answer is "it depends" what the budget is and that will determine where the professionals live. I suggest before you accept a job transfer come out and spend a week or at least a long weekend to familiarize yourself with the communities. Also I would suggest contact a Relocation Specialist to help you. FYI I am available to help you. Please contact me privately for a free assessment of what your financial situation is and then we can better determine your needs and wants.

Hi Stahl! This depends on what price range you need to stay in per your lender.
First get pre approved! Once your lender tells you what price range to stay under???? THEN you can intelligently go shopping and know what you can afford? Also, it depends on what type of property you want? Home, condo, townhome? I assume you are looking for a home? El Segundo is great...if you are in a pricier range..then Manhattan Beach, Hermosa, Redondo Beach? This is a diverse question because it is slightly vague. Also depends on the criteria you are seeking? How many beds, baths? Big back yard? pool?
Once you nail down your price range and criteria...THEN we can tell where you can legitimately go shopping?
If you need help...I help tons of buyers.
