I find it very helpful with finding good deals. One does have to be familiar with the particular subdivision and know the average $ per sqft.. For instance, I just found a great deal on a home. I knew the going rate was in the $80 per sqft range, but had an alert trigger for anything that showed up in that subdivision less than $50 per sqft.

Again, it's helpful in just being an indicator that it might be something worth looking at. And yes, two days later I submitted an offer on the property!

Your Exclusive Buyer Agent can tell you price per sq ft,
how many days on market, property age,
when seller bought the property, etc

Price per sqft, in general, is one of worst ways to evaluate the value of real estate.

Hi there,

If you can give us some informatin, either of us would be happy to look it up for you.

Or you can just use the price and divided it by sq ft..

Hope this help

As some of my fellow Realtors have mentioned, you haven't given us much to work with. Did you mean Cost or Price per sq. ft.?? Price per sq. ft. is automatically calculated and displayed on MLS listings, but it's not hard to figure out either..

Price / Sq. Ft. = Price per sq. ft.

Could you be a little more specific? Cost per square foot for what? If you are looking for sale prices per square foot please bear in mind that while a square foot price can be a decent barometer to check if an asking price is "in the ballpark", houses are not sold by the square foot. If you are looking for new building prices per square foot that is a totally different thing, as is cost per square foot for rebuilding, leasing or anything else. A cost per square foot for anything but a building material or something similar is just an estimate, a barometer - it isn't how properties are bought or sold.
