Take a look at the Prescott Valley, Dewey area. 75 miles from Metro Phoenix. (Have a retirement home here myself.) Economical shuttle service to Phoenix metro, Other shuttle services for medical and shopping. Major department stores and grocery stores. Golf, country clubs for weekend entertainment. Active cultural events. Easy living.

Hi Tony...

You can certainly find a lot of age-restricted retirement communities with great amenities; however, what kind of public transportation are you looking for? With most of these communities being on the outer edges of our Valley, the light rail certainly doesn't run there and often times, buses neither.

Feel free to visit my website http://www.MetroPhoenixAgent.com where you can search for retirement communities under the 'Search MLS' tab and then 'Subdivisions' and then 'Age Restricted'.

If you don't want age-restricted, then the public transportation becomes much easier and finding the right area will largely depend upon your price point.

If I can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate.

There are some great area's in the Phoenix area to retire in. I'd be happy to send you the buyer advisory and links to check on crime rates and where the public transportation lies.

You can reach me directly at 602-799-5239 or email me at diverdebi@cox.net

As a realtor we can not "steer" any buyer to specific area's. We can give you the tools to get the answers you require and as your new friend let you know if I'd feel comfortable to pick you up in the evening.

Have a great Sunday and let me know how I can assist you further Tony.

When are you looking to move here from Denver? I can assist you with getting your property sold in the Denver area by recommending quality agents to sell your home for the most money too!

Tony,
Have you checked Chandler's Sun Lakes? My clients, who live there, love it. There is also Sun City on the West side. And quite a few other communities.
