I am an equestrian and you have to stop at the office and get a $5 permit and then go down and un-trailer and ride! My horse, Melon, was afraid of the waves and the sand is very soft and they will sink down more than they are used to and it wears them out sooner.

You didn't indicate a location. Were you referencing Apollo Beach at Canaveral Shores?

Many people do not realize this but there is a certain time of year that Canaveral National Seashore Park will allow you to bring your horse and ride on the beach. I don't know exactly when they allow it but here is a link to their website where you should be able to get further details, http://www.nps.gov/cana/index.htm.

If I can ever help you or anyone you know with any real estate needs please don't hesitate to contact me.

Happy riding.

Canaveral National Seashore pass Bethune Beach. I was just there a couple of weeks ago and the woman in the visitors center mentioned that people bring and ride their horse's there.
