You can find customer satisfaction ratings for the Houston area from J.D. Power. Meritage falls in the "about average" category for 2007. They also have a review with the Better Business Bureau for the Houston area. From my experience, I would consider a Meritage home, they build a nice product... but there may be other builders that you might also take a look at. One of my favorites is Village Builders (associated with Lennar). I would need to know areas and price ranges to give more specific information about additional builders to research and consider.
