Where can I find Florida charm and quality "A" rated high schools on Gulf side for under 550K? We would like to consider living on the

Asked by Wherewillweliveinfl?, 34292 Wed Oct 21, 2009

Gulf coast anywhere that there is an "A" rated high school for our sons. Preferrably at a beach location or within 20 minutes, as we like a 'planned community with amenities'. We are from the midwest and demand 3000 sq ft, 4BR plus office and bonus, pool, quality workmanship in housing -preferrably custom builder, and consistancy in housing in the area. We like to bike ride and walk on the beach. Upscale shopping would be great. Is there such a place for me to find under 550K? I can easily do online searches, but some of my criteria will challenge someone who knows the area and builders. We are currently renting on the east coast and I'm not finding what I'm looking for in regards to the quality of housing and builder style. Can we find privacy and driveways that hold more than two cars . At this point I would prefer town names or subdivisions for me to do some of my own research and visiting before wasting any of your time. Thank you.

The best High School on the West Coast is Pine View School located in Osprey, FL. Also in Osprey is "The Oaks" which is an exclusive gated community with a beautiful golf course, club house and all of the expected amenities. It is within ten minutes of the beach and only a couple of miles from Pine View School. The area is know for it's Florida Charm but has easy access to the water for boating and Sarasota for cultural activities.

Give Bill Eckler a call at Michael Saunders Realty in Venice. 941-485-5421. He is a very experienced Realtor and knows the area extremly well.

Sarasota is a wonderful community with cultural activities and beautiful white sand beaches. You can get a really nice house for $550,000 with a pool and in fact I have a listing coming up that exactly meets your description. I personally have three children I am raising here, ages 12, 10 & 7 and just loves the schools here. Please visit my website at http://www.DiscoverVeniceRealEstate.com to find valuable community info and links. We have the school of choice here in Sarasota County. It is the Pine View School for Gifted, located in
Sarasota County, Osprey, Florida. You will have to live in Sarasota County to attend and pass an entrance exam but this school offers not only the charm you desire but it has been rated # 6 in the country, offers a college readiness of 99.3%. Not bad considering there are over 27,000 schools to choose from in the U.S.
Almost every neighborhood in the Sarasota County is within 29 minutes of beaches and every amenity imaginable is available to you and your family.
Yes, you can easily find a home that fits your criteria, try to find one that was built after 2005 as the new building codes became stricter then.
Good luck, call me when you would like a tour.

Good Morning! You have had a number of answers about the Sarasota area, now take a look a little bit south of there in the Fort Myers area. Right now, I am assisting a buyer looking for almost the same thing you are looking for and I would be happy to help you find what you are looking for. Fort Myers offers close beach access, wonderful schools and a number of communities that fits your criteria. Just a few of the communities you may want to check out are: Reflection Lakes, Crown Colony, McGregor Woods and McGregor Reserve. In Cape Coral, I would look into the Cape Harbour area. Good luck with your search, and if I can be of any assistance, please don't hesitate to contact me!

Why Choose To Move To Sarasota Florida?

For starters, Sarasota is known as Florida's Cultural Coast, home to the renowned Florida West Coast Symphony, the Sarasota Ballet, and the Asolo Theater for the Performing Arts as well as many more theater venues and art galleries. In downtown Sarasota, Main Street offers dozens of shops, restaurants and nightclubs. Throughout the year, there are many special events including live music, art festivals, various shows and parades.

For sun and beach lovers, there are 35 miles of beaches including world-famous Siesta Key beach known for having the whitest sand in the world. And nowhere in the world will you find more gorgeous sunsets than on Florida's West Coast jewel of Sarasota. And there are several A rated high schools in the area.

Here are some properties I thought might interest you:

Hi!
Have you considered Sarasota, Osprey or Venice, all are ont eh west central coast of Florida and there are several homes that fit your criteria. Here are some to take a look at once you have done your research of the area. Sarasota was just chosen to be the #1 location to purchase on the Today Show.
Sarasota http://mfr.mlxchange.com/Pub/EmailView.asp?r=1839272707&…
Osprey http://mfr.mlxchange.com/Pub/EmailView.asp?r=179014958&s…
Venice http://mfr.mlxchange.com/Pub/EmailView.asp?r=1360074999&…
Many are gated golf communities, all within 15-20 minutes of the beach.
The area has a lot of diversity and is full of culture, the arts, theater, great beaches and boating.
If I can be of further assistance please let me know. I wish you all the best in finding the right home as it is never an easy task. It does help to do your homework and look at statistics, as well as what an area has to offer. I think you'd find this area would meet your criteria quite well.

Hi and congratulations on your decision to move to the Gulf Coast of Florida in a remarkable buyers market. There are many communities in Pinellas County that meet your criteria for "A" rated high school. Most communities are within 20 minutes from either the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico or Tampa Bay. Some neighborhoods that come to mind in Pinellas County are Canterbury Chase, Bay Harbor Estates, Oakhurst Run, Rosetree Estates, Seminole Woodlands, Seminole Isle and Colonial Woods. There are several others that would work for you.

Hi, I don't know if you have found your property yet but am going to pass along my thoughts in case you are still looking. Riverview High School is an "A" rated school. You can find all their information at http://www.sarasota.k12.fl.us/RHS/SchoolProfile/SchoolProfile.pdf . Sarasota Military Academy is another school that all parents should consider for high school kids - it is not for everyone - but a truly unique charter school. The neighborhood I think does a good job fitting your criteria is Serenoa. There are currently 10 active listings with 2 homes that are just slightly under your square footage and slightly over you price. Hope this helps.
