When will i get a clear to close?

Asked by Chantel82, 08823 Thu Nov 17, 2011

My loan went through final review but we had 2 incomplete items, we sent them in as soon as we found out. Does it have to go though final review again if so how long will it take and are we close to closing soon.

That is very hard to answer. The only real answer can come from the mortgage company whom is working on your deal and what promoted them to need those 2 conditions at the end of the process. If it was small (easy) conditions then most companies have a 24-48 turn time on conditions. It really depends. At my company if we were to get the conditions quickly then we would turn it around right away- when is or was your closing date? I would hope that if this had a closing date coming up they would move it to the front of the line in order to hit your closing date on time. Good luck and let us know if you need any answers to any questions that come out of those last two conditions!

You should check with your mortgage officer on the time frame. Each lender has a different time frame due to volume on going over conditions.

If it was something the underwritter questioned it won't take long at all. Often an underwritter (who is the last one in the chain for getting a loan approved) will come up with something they want before they sign off. Once you get it in they usually get your sign off in a day or two. You're close - get ready!
