Not as far as I am concerned. I haven't found one neighborhood in Claremont that I would not want my family to live in.

It would come down to your preference for proximity to the Claremont Colleges, which might be to expensive or busy for you. Because of the city income from the colleges, you don't have any blighted areas or run down streets. You may want to drive or walk around the western edge of the community that turns into Pomona, where home values are a little lower and roads a little rougher.

Hi Shawn:

As the agents have indicated it really is a personal choice as to what is or is not desirable. Besides just driving through the community I also suggest you go to the stores, restaurants, and schools to get a good feel. You can also check with the police department regarding crime statistics. If you find a particular home that your are interested in, you can knock on the neighbors doors and ask them what they like about their neighborhood.
Buying a home is a very important decision I believe that getting involved in the research is very important for the buyer, because it is their perspective that the decision needs to be made from, not mine.
Good Luck, if I can be of any more help, please give me a call.

Shawn !!!!

Claremont is a great place. All communities have good and bad.

Drive around and if you see a house you like send me the address and as a agent and state licensed appraiser I'll tell you what its really worth, not what they are asking.....

I am willing to be the realtor of choice for you if you do not already have one. It is of no cost to you. You can send me an email and give me your contact information. I can email you homes in your price range and go from there.

I look forward to working with you. And, if you already have an agent, I wish you the best of luck in your home search!

Hi Shawn,

Claremont is one of my favorite places in the Inland Empire. I have several listings there right now myself. You know, it is all a matter of your own opinion which areas are undesirable. What is undesirable to one person is desirable to another. Kind of like that old saying, One person's junk is another person's treasure. So, I think you have to decide what you like. Drive the different areas and see where you would like to live. Or find a good realtor and tell them what you are looking for in a home. They will take you around to the different homes as well.
I would be happy to be that realtor for you if you do not already have one. It is of no cost to you. You can send me an email to calljoan4homes@aol.com and give me your contact information Shawn. I can email you homes in your price range and go from there.

I look forward to helping you. And, if you already have an agent, I wish you the best of luck in your home search!

Kind Regards!

Hi Shawn,

That would depend on what you considered undesirable. Some areas are nearer the Metrolink tracks so if you don't want to be near trains that might be undesirable for you. Some areas are near either the 210 or 10 Freeways and this could be an issue for some. But I have to say that the upsides in the community far outweigh any downs. I live here in Claremont and also base my business here so I think I am a pretty good resource.

The area above Baseline tends to be more expensive and the area below Arrow tends to be less so. I live just below Arrow and like the neighborhood I'm in very much.

If you would like any additional information or help in finding your perfect Claremont home, please feel free to get in touch!

Take care and have a wonderful day!
