When going into contract for a buying a house who is supposed to sign as the witness for the docouments between the seller and the buyer?

I thought it was the broker's who signed as the witness.

Whoever witnesses the signatures. This is often the real estate agent.

The person who is present when pen is placed to paper to form the signature. The person witnessing the signature should be of legal age and know the person on have seen ID. This is why when a Notary Public places their seal to something they ash for ID

Anyone can witness....agents involved are the usual......

Most of the time it is your agent but anyone of legal age can be a witness.

Parties that witness the signing of the contract can be agents involved in the transaction, independent agents, or other available parties in the closing ofice at the time.
