Gateway has terrific communities. Stoneybrook offers a lot of amenities, Hampton Park has new construction. Royal Greens, Summerwind, and Champion's green all offer condo living. For golf, Gateway Golf and Country is the only one directly in the area. However, as others have mentioned, there are fantastic communities in the area. Colonial Country Club, Heritage Palms, Cross Creek, Plantation, Eagle Ridge, Fiddlesticks, Legends, and Olde Hickory are just a few. Each of these has different levels of membership and do require the important questions being asked as to what is included. There are bundled golf communities where the membership is with the home. There are private memberships, and equity memberships.

Here is one source for area golf homes. http://www.marketwatchrealestate.idxco.com/i/6259/Fort_Myers…

Gateway Country Club is private and requires membership which with dues and required fees runs about $10,000 annually. There are other clubs in the area that are less expensive and you have some public facilities like Eastwood and Fort Myers CC. All the subdivisions in Gateway are nice and with the exception of a few homes in Callaway Greens, none of them require membership to the country club. I lived in Gateway for over 5 years and would be happy to help you.

Thanks,
Marc

Gateway has a country club that you can join. Some great sub communities are Stoneybrook - offer 24 hr sec guard gated entrance, amazing clubhouse with a ballfield, fitness center, pool, kids play area, and more for reasonable dues.
Cypress Cay is not gated and has very low HOA fees, with a pool and kids play area.
Silver lakes is another nice gated subcommunity.

They are all desirable communities in Gateway and you have an option of joining the Golf and Country Club. Colonial and Pelican Preserve, Legends and Heritage Palms in that area are all reasonable. Please call me at 2399897077. Pam Wittenauer. http://WWW.realtyinswflorida.com

Hello Mike, I have clients who love Cross Creek in Fort Myers. Reasonably priced properties; single family homes, villas, condos and the golf course and club house has been completely remodeled. Great location, close to everything.

Please go on my Listingbook site and you can "search like an agent".
