What special qualifying does Laguna Woods Village have for renters other than age (55 ),?

and no more than a six month lease for a coop? Are there special net worth and/or credit requirements that have to be met, and do they require a credit report? I am thinking about buying a home in Laguna Woods Village, but would
like to lease a place for a year to see if I like the community first. I am a 55 year-old self-employed contractor, and guard my privacy and credit info. tightly in this age of credit fraud.

Thanks,

Ernie - There are no income or credit restrictions that Laguna Woods Village places on renters. Just like with most any other rental property, each individual landlord would have requirements on what they are looking for in a renter. Most will insist on reviewing your credit report but it is not unheard of where a landlord decided to forego that in return for receiving six or more months of rental payments up front.
