Great, Thanks for your answers.. Beth, I found out what taxes are and your 2% rule was pretty accurate. Thanks for your help! I'm thinking of buying an investment property in east little havana, any insight you could provide would be great! (good investment / bad investment and why)

Hi,
In Dade country the average property taxex are approximatly 2% of the assessed value of the condo, so you can get a general idea. If you are going to homestead the proeprty you will get the homestead exemption.
You can alos get further information on property tax at http://www.miamidade.gov.

Your realtor can tell you what the last year taxes were also.
