What percentage of the asking price is generally considered an appropriate first offer in today's market?

FIRST ANSWER

Hello Karen,

There is no exact set percentage. The best way to determine percentage or offer is to ask the Realtor working for you to do a CMA (Comparative Market Anaylsis). This would allow comparison between your desired or a similiar home that is pending or sold. You would be able to justify your offer price. This would be your best objective.
