Hi Erik:

That is a very difficult question to answer because there are a lot of basic information but a lot of vaariable information which are needed to purchase a house.

There are a lot of different documents you need to purchase a house, Financial documents, pay stubs, bank statements, tax filings, credit reports and such are needed to apply for a loan,

On the house side, each state has it's own requirements on what kind of disclosures and advisories are required. Then, county and city have various requirements: a PUD or Condo have different documents to sign and disclose. In Marin, the MAR just came out with Marin County disclosure and disclaimers, not that you have to have that to close escrow, but it advises a future Marin resident what to watch out for. A lot of important information will need to be conveyed before you can make a wise decision.

Consult a reputable Realtor is the way to go when making one of of the most important financial and emotional decisions in your life.

Best,
Sylvia

It varies somewhat where you are...go see your mortgage broker, and ask to see an example of a HUD statement...this will give you an idea of what is needed and the process to get there.
