I have to agree with Craig here. But I'd like to add that there are several other highly desireable lakes in the Alexandria Minnesota area. Some connected to the chain of lakes - some not. And Clayton - in case you weren't aware of it - we also have a ski resort - Andes Tower Hills.

FIRST ANSWER

The 3 main lakes (Carlos, Darling and L'homme Dieu) of Alexandria's Chain of Lakes have the highest property values. Bare lot sales have been recorded at $500,000 and up.
