A log cabin will be classed in other unless ther are a lot in your community. All homes are catigorized so that comps are equivlant by criteria and style of home is just one of those criteria. Just because it is a log home does not influence the value. It come down to size, age and location. Location is improtant. age or condition is a big factor. and size compared to surrounding homes is also important. as for style not so much.
Because it is a log home some buyers might not even consider this home it is not what they want. But some when comparing other homes to yours on the market might prefer this type over the others for the value. Then you have those that always wanted a log home and if you have a good location, the right size and the price range they are in, it could be a quick sale with happy clients and customers!
Patricia, I like log homes, but to say the resale will be different than any other home would be a mistake.

It depends on location, size, condition, style, etc. It is not possible to just say a log cabin will have a resale value of X dollars.
