Centex has mixed reviews - We never have had a real problem with them, but many of the individuals we come across (home buyers) have had negative things to say. I believe they were recently purchased by Pulte who is one of the best builders in our area. But then again, even they have consumers saying that they are horrible so you have to take individual responses on a case by case scenario.

A home with a deck is a huge advantage. Most buyers look at homes without decks and will say that it will cost $25k to put a deck on, when in fact it will cost about $8k. In todays market, it only increased demand, not enough to raise the price significantly over a neighbors home. Demand will increase the value more than listing it for a higher price.
