This is a difficult question to answer. The tax rate varies as to where you live in the town of Southampton. For instance, I live in Hampton Bays,within the Town of Southampton. My tax rate for the current tax year are as follows: The taxes are based on your assessed value.72.95% are school taxes; 0.69% for county taxes;14.14% are for town taxes;and 12.2% fall under"other taxes".This information is taken directly from my current tax bill. The taxes do vary depending on which town you live in,within the Town of Southampton. I know this sounds confusing,but these are the facts.
