That is the question that we as a Real Estate agents ask ourselves. Unfortunately there is no answer yet. There are several problems in that community not only with WCI. Several houses have Chinese drywall making hard for homeowners to sell them so several are already in foreclosure and some of them are in short sale.

WCI stopped construction at Parkland Golf & Country Club quite a while ago. They only have a few homes left to sell from the inventory that has already been completed or will be shortly. I heard yesterday (8/18/09) that it will be at least the end of 2010 before they are released money to resume any new construction. They are going to come up with different homes with a variety of options to make them more affordable. There are still the large estate lots that can be bought for about $600,000 with codes that call for $2million to $3 million dollar homes to be built. Some of these are still being built as we speak. The hoa fee is $300 per month and the mandatory social membership is an additional $350 per month. These are not scheduled to change. The golf equity membership is now about $65,000 but they have different levels of membership as well.
