What is the difference between a Sale and a Resale?

I agree with Phil's response below. A sale is the original sale front he builder, then resale is what you typically see on the MLS. Unless the home is BRAND NEW and you are the first person in it, it is considered a resale.

A Sale is the first time the home is sold as in new construction. Resale is for an existing home that has been sold at least once before.
